In the future, I want to become an influential entrepreneur and activist and be involved in policy analysis to eliminate educational disparities and social inequalities.
Trần Huỳnh Cẩm Châu2nd scholarship student
Kyoto University, International Undergraduate Program (Kyoto iUP) Faculty of Economics
Having grown up in an area of poverty in Ho Chi Minh City, I want to be an influential entrepreneur and activist to eliminate educational inequality and social inequality. To achieve this vision, I would like to engage in policy analysis, develop evidence-based recommendations, and actively participate in the development and evaluation of education-related public policies. At Kyoto University's Faculty of Economics, I am eager to learn how the economy works, how to manage resources, and how to better understand economics. And in the future, I would like to use my economic knowledge to advocate for educational equality. My goal is to further my understanding of the economic benefits associated with a more equitable education system through research, writing articles, and participating in discussions. The Fast Retailing Foundation scholarship not only gives me a sense of happiness and satisfaction, but also makes me proud. And in Japan I am not alone, I have friends and fellow members of the Foundation community.
